Our Story
Traditional grains, made easy to bring home.
India's kitchens hold an extraordinary variety of grains, millets and pulses. 1grains exists to keep that variety within easy reach.
Why grains matter
The quiet foundation of the Indian meal
Before a single spice is tempered, the Indian meal begins with grain — rice and jowar rotte, ragi sangati, korra annam — and with the pulses that turn it into pappu, sambar, dosa and vada.
These ingredients carry regional memory. A family in Rayalaseema, a home in coastal Andhra and a kitchen in Karnataka may all cook with millets, each in their own way and by their own names.

Our mission
Diversity on the plate, convenience at the door
Traditional ingredients can be hard to find in modern shops, often sold under unfamiliar names or only in large quantities. Our mission is to make them simple to buy online — clearly named, sensibly packed and honestly described.
We don't make health promises or claim certifications we don't hold. We tell you what a product is, how it's traditionally used, and how to store it.
Names you recognise
Every product is listed with its English and Telugu names, so ragulu, jonnalu and minumulu are easy to find.
Sizes that suit real kitchens
Trial packs to try something new, everyday sizes, and family packs for the staples you use every week.
A careful sourcing approach
We plan to work with farmers, farmer groups, mills and verified suppliers, and publish origin details only once they're verified.

Orders are packed and dispatched from our base in Badvel, Andhra Pradesh, to serviceable PIN codes across India.
